Hand Lettering Lately

Lately, I haven’t been able to put the pen down. I’m completely obsessed with brush pens, and using them to express quotes that I am inspired by and words that run through my head. I’ve always enjoyed writing, I am an avid journaler, so finding this hobby through designers on Instagram really just happened naturally. So, typography + journaling = brush pen lettering in all my spare time. I make sure to practice every single day, whether it’s for 5 minutes or for hours at a time.

 

 

challenge = opportunity, you just have to change your perspective…

Architecture in Puerto Rico

It’s unreal. Everything from centuries’ old military forts (apparently the entire city of Old San Juan has a tunnel system running underneath) to tiny tiny apartments with brightly colored walls and detailed tile work. We happened to be in in PR during the Santurce Es Ley mural arts festival and the streets were packed with artists from all over the place, galleries and shows happening all night, every night we were there. NYC

 

I love how the photos I took on my grandpa’s film camera turned out when I was in NYC. I took two rolls of film total, and each and every photo tells such a completely different story. This is a view from the High Line of the Meatpacking District, each individual building in this cascading view has its’ own character – the architecture in this area of the city was so surreal.
